The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy explains which data we process when you visit our website and when you place an order. The Swiss Data Protection Act (DPA) is authoritative.

2. Principle and cookies

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary for operating the website, processing orders and communicating with you.

Necessary and functional cookies or local storage (e.g. your shopping cart, see section 4) are required to operate the shop and are used without separate consent.

We use analytics and statistics services exclusively with your explicit consent, which you give via the cookie banner. If you do not give consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to the analytics provider. Your decision is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the «Cookie settings» link in the footer.

The analytics service used is Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC); the operator confirms the exact service used. When analytics is active, data may be transferred to the USA (transfer to a third country); the respective provider's data protection provisions additionally apply.

3. Hosting and server log files

When the website is accessed, our hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type). These server logs serve the security and stability of operations and are deleted after a short time.

4. Shopping cart (local storage)

The contents of your shopping cart are stored exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage, key «lamentine_cart_v1»). This data remains on your device, is not transmitted to us or to third parties and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser storage.

5. Fonts and external content

All fonts are loaded from our own server (self-hosting); no connections to Google Fonts are established for this when the website is accessed. Only once you consent to web analytics (see section 2) is a connection to the analytics provider's servers established. Without your consent, no such connections to third-party servers are made.

6. Ordering and purchase processing

When you place an order, we process the information required for this: name, delivery address, e-mail address and the details of your order. We use this data exclusively for processing the purchase contract (manufacture, shipping, invoicing, any queries).

7. Payment

Payment is processed via the payment provider you have chosen (Twint, credit card or Apple Pay). The respective provider receives the data necessary for the payment; its data protection provisions additionally apply. We do not store credit card data.

8. Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is disclosed to third parties only insofar as this is necessary for processing the contract (e.g. to the shipping service provider for delivery) or we are legally obliged to do so. We do not sell data.

9. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process your details in order to answer the enquiry. The correspondence is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations exist.

10. Retention

We keep order and accounting records for 10 years in accordance with statutory obligations. We delete other personal data as soon as the purpose of the processing no longer applies.

11. Your rights

You have the right to information about the data processed about you as well as to its correction or deletion, insofar as no statutory retention obligation stands in the way. To do so, contact info@lamentine.com. The competent supervisory authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

We may adapt this privacy policy as necessary. The version published on this page at the relevant time applies.
